Ministerio de Transportes y Telecomunicaciones (MTT) in Chile published Decreto No. 192 of 2022 on April 25, 2023, which modifies Decreto No. 127 of 2006 and approves the General Plan for the Use of the Radio Spectrum. 

Main changes to Decreto No. 127 include:

● Replacing the Table of Frequency Band Allocations Article 4 Section IV;

● Introducing Notes on the Table of Frequency Band Allocations in Article 4 Section V to provide additional information and conditions for frequency bands and services such as amateur radio stations in the 5351.5-5366.5 kHz band, radio services in the 76-88 MHz band, and fixed-satellite service (Earth-to-Space) and broadcasting satellite service in the 17.3-17.8 GHz band;

● Clarifying that fixed-satellite services in the 17.7-17.8 GHz band shall not cause harmful interference nor claim protection for assignments in broadcasting satellite services;

Services operating in the bands modified by Decreto No. 192 may continue operation and maintain its category until the date communicated by Subsecretaría de Telecomunicaciones (SUBTEL), which will be no less than 6 months from the date of entry into force of Decreto No. 192.
