Russia GOST R certification

Under The Russian Union GUI law, electrical products need to wear the PCT logo to enter the Russian market. The logo is licensed by the National Certification Body on Electrical Equipment of the Gosstandart of Russia. Therefore, the product should first obtain the Certificate of Conformity (COC) issued by GOST Re. For this purpose, in addition to the Russian national standards, the product manufacturer's quality assurance system should also meet the relevant requirements of GOST Re. In addition, most household appliances, such as television sets, washing machines, refrigerators, etc., also need to meet the relevant requirements. The Hygienic certification is required for products in contact with water or food (such as electrical kitchenware and refrigerators) and products that produce X-ray radiation, microwave radiation or noise or vibration.
Take refrigerators as an example, in addition to meeting the requirements of safety and EMC factory review, they must also meet special requirements on fire prevention and hygiene. GOST Re's certificate is issued for product safety. However, according to the law of the Russian Federation, before obtaining the COC certificate of GOST Re for domestic refrigerators, they must first pass the Fire Safety Certification and submit an application to the Russian Federal Emergency Management Agency. At the same time, the COC certificate issued by GOST Re is required to carry the health clearance number. For safety testing, as Russia is a member of CB and adopts IEC standards, CB reports and certificates issued by China can be fully accepted. Manufacturers with CB certificates can obtain GOST R certificates by using CB certificates and test reports. Because the factory review needs to be conducted by GOST Re directly according to CENELEC requirements (basically the same as the general European certification review), and EMC is also required to be conducted in the laboratory directly approved by Russia, in order to save time and cost, We can directly invite engineers approved by GOST Re to China to complete EMC test, fire test and factory review at the same time. As there are currently no directly accredited laboratories in The country, the tests can be carried out in GOST Re's collaborating laboratories in a monitoring manner, or additional emc, health and fire testing can be carried out in Russia.
In summary, electrical products to enter the Russian market required certification:
• GOST R certification (mainly for safety, obtain GOST R certificate and attach PCT mark);
• EMC certification;
