TÜV Rheinland cTUVus Certification
Certification Introduction
The cTUVus certification mark allows smooth entry into the US and Canadian markets. North America, Germany TÜV Rheinland has been registered, and can perform the verification and product testing services of the American ANSI/UL standard and the Canadian national standard.

Frequency: 60Hz Voltage: Single-phase 120V (used in the United States and Canada, measure between fire and ground, provide 15 or 20A protection line); 240V (measure between water and fire, generally available)
Voltage: Three-phase 208/240V
Plug Construction: US and Canada use NEMA 5-15P and 6-15P plug standards. These straight blade plugs in the US are clearly described in NEMA (National Electronics Manufacturers Association) WD6 edition and incorporated into UL498. Canadian plug and socket standards are referred to in CSA publication C22.2, No.42.
Applicable Product Range
1. The authorized projects of TÜV Rheinland include: office equipment, information technology, business machines, audio-visual equipment, home appliances, laboratory equipment, medical equipment, testing and measuring devices, and control equipment, etc.
2. The US and Canada certification marks of TÜV Rheinland and other US NRTL (like UL, CSA, etc.) are the same level. As far as the US and Canada markets are concerned, only TÜV Rheinland has the capability of product testing and verification services.
• TÜV Rheinland issues TUVus certification mark for products in the US market
• TÜV Rheinland issues cTUV certification mark for products in the Canadian market
• When the TUVus and cTUV logos are used together, customers can place a single logo, cTUVus, on a product to demonstrate that the product meets the required standards for both the US and Canada markets.
