American DOE Certification
Introduction to DOE Certification
The U.S. Department of Energy (Department of Energy) is referred to as DOE. DOE has issued DOE certification in accordance with U.S. energy efficiency-related regulations, which is the source of DOE certification. The main purpose of DOE certification is to save energy and reduce emissions, help users save electricity, so as to reduce energy consumption demand and reduce the greenhouse effect. Now all products within the scope of DOE certification need to meet the requirements of the latest laws and regulations.
From December 9, 2009, DOE requires that the manufacturers and label holders mentioned in the controlled products must submit a Certification Report and a Compliance Statement, if they are not declared at the required time , you will be penalized when entering U.S. Customs.
The website for online declaration is: https://www.regulations.doegov/ccms, where you can get the product report template "Product Templates" and the registration authorization form "Registration and Authorization Forms".
In order to better improve the energy efficiency regulations of light bulbs, the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) issued the "Notice of Proposed Regulations (NOPR) on Bulb Test Methods" on February 26, 2016, proposing to issue a general lighting bulb (GSL) ) of the New Test Methods Act. The new test method bill refers more to the current IES and CIE standards.
• On July 1, 2016, the DOE of the US Department of Energy officially released the "Test procedures for in tegrated light Emitting Diode Lamps", the effective date of this regulation is August 1, 2016, and the mandatory implementation date is 2016 December 28, 2010.
• The US Department of Energy (DOE) officially released the "Test procedures for compact Flaorescent Lamps" for CFL compact fluorescent lamps on August 29, 2016. The effective date of this regulation is September 28, 2016, and the mandatory implementation date is February 2017. 27th.
• The US Department of Energy (DOE) officially released the general lighting test procedures for specific categories of light bulbs on October 20, 2016. The regulation came into effect on November 21, 2016, and the mandatory implementation date is April 19, 2017.
• On January 19, 2017, the DOE announced the final draft of the performance standard for general lighting bulbs, and the effective date is January 1, 2020, which accurately regulates the definition requirements of general lighting bulbs: containing ANSI lamp caps, voltage 12V/24V/ Between 100-130/277V, the working voltage of the integrated lamp that can work normally, or the working voltage of the non-integrated lamp. Non-lamp or downlight retrofit kit for general lighting applications. In addition, specific product categories that are not included are also listed.
• The US Department of Energy (DOE) officially released the final version of the "Test procedures for in tegrated light Emitting Diode Lamps" on September 21, 2018. The effective date of the regulation is October 22, 2018.
• DOE appliance categories: refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, water heaters, dishwashers, clothes dryers, pool heaters, microwave ovens.
