California Energy Efficiency CEC Certification
CEC certification is the Appliance Efficiency Regulation implemented by the California Energy Commission on December 30, 2005. The purpose of this regulation is to improve the efficiency of electrical products, save energy, reduce gas emissions and the greenhouse effect.

CEC Title 20
In January 2019, the CEC Title 20 Household Electrical Regulations officially released a new version CEC-140-2019-002. The new regulations emphasize that the definition of general lighting bulbs issued by DOE on January 19, 2017 will continue to be used, and at the same time, it is emphasized that from January 1, 2020, general lighting bulbs with a light efficiency of less than 45lm/w will not be allowed in California. market sales. From June 13, 2018, the battery charger regulation CEC Title 20 came into force.

On January 1, 2017, CEC added regulations and certification requirements for LED bulbs in Title20 Section1601-1607, and it can be considered to accept LED bulb compliance data from January 1, 2017. CEC Title24
The building lighting energy efficiency regulations are updated according to a cycle of about 3 years. The new building lighting energy efficiency regulations in 2019 have been improved on the basis of the 2016 regulations. The current 2019 building lighting energy efficiency regulations are CEC-400-2018-020-CMF, Effective January 1, 2020. The new regulation CEC Title24 2022 has been announced, and the specific effective date of the new regulation is January 1, 2023.

On December 19, 2017, CEC officially announced the final draft of the voluntary bulb certification V3.1/CEC-400 -2017-015-SF, V3.1 standard specification clarifies that manufacturers can estimate the life before completing the life test and complete the initial submission for listing. This standard is used by the California Energy Efficiency Commission to guide more high-quality LED bulbs to enter California market.
